Metro: Personalizationby Conner-Monsees

Designs & Interfaces / Application Interfaces©2011-2014 Conner-Monsees
I've loved Microsoft's Metro design language since they began implementing it on the first Zunes, all the way to its new Windows Phone OS. However, after seeing some work from Chris Lindhartsen ([link]), I couldn't help wonder what Windows would look like with a little Metro in the mix.

Here's a hint: stunning.

I'll echo Chris' disclaimer and note that this is, unfortunately, just a concept; however, comments and suggestions are perfectly welcome.

Amazing. I would love to see Microsoft implement something like this into the future personalization panel.

This looks amazing. Tell me though, what would be the difference between Aero style and Basic style? I am assuming that Aero, in Microsoft's context, refers to the glassed, translucent visual style of Vista and 7. Not seeing that same effect in Metro would, in my mind, eliminate the concept of "Aero".
